The One Love Foundation is seeking an energetic, creative, and detail-oriented coordinator to join our Operations team.  The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for One Love’s mission, with a focused eye on helping to recruit and retain the best talent, support the smooth running of all operational processes, and help nurture a collaborative, entrepreneurial, results-oriented culture across multiple offices.


Key Responsibilities & Outcomes:

This individual will be focused on three main areas: Recruiting & Retention, Operational Excellence, and Organizational Culture. To be successful in this role, you will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that requires you to be extremely detail-oriented. You will be eager to support all efforts in recruiting, staff relations, operations – and generally in any area where your talents are needed.  The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with teams and has excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Ongoing responsibilities, to start, will include:

Recruiting & Retention

  • Identify open positions and lead the effort to define scope and draft job descriptions
  • Post and maintain job listings across various job sites and the One Love website
  • Manage searches including: developing search strategies to include diverse pipelines of talent, tracking applications, screening resumes, scheduling and holding phone and in-person interviews, compiling interviewer feedback, and coordinating the hiring process towards decision and offer status
  • Serve as main point of contact externally and internally for all recruiting inquiries
  • Conduct informational interviews, as needed
  • Support onboarding and offboarding of staff members to ensure seamless experiences in both
  • Make sure new hires are equipped with the supplies and space they need
  • Support mid-year and year-end performance review processes

Operational Excellence

  • Serve as main point of contact for all staff questions including HR, benefits, and operational/financial processes
  • Liaise with the organization’s PEO to resolve any questions or issues
  • Identify operational process improvements and help to assess/guide implementation
  • Serve as internal information guide – understanding where information is kept and how to access, then assisting staff in finding what they need
  • Exude a polished, professional and customer service oriented demeanor always with internal staff and external stakeholders

Organizational Culture

  • Assist with planning and executing monthly all-staff meetings as well as in-person retreats
  • Work with staff to ensure organization-wide participation in meetings and on projects by trouble-shooting AV needs, training new staff in communications technologies, and generally being the main point of contact for questions around ‘how we do things at One Love’
  • Identify new ways to nurture the organization’s unique culture at meetings and internal events


Qualifications & Attributes:

Professional Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 2 years experience in an organization with a similar environment/culture
  • Strong project management skills and keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

The compensation and benefits package are competitive with comparable nonprofits in the region. The position is based in Westchester County, New York, a 35-minute train ride from Grand Central Station in Manhattan.
