Our Vision for the Future

A Note from One Love CEO, Katie Hood

First and foremost, we want to thank you for being a part of the One Love family. This year has been one marked by challenges for all of us, but at One Love, it’s also been a time of incredible transformation and growth. We are taking this opportunity to reflect on all the good that has been done in Yeardley’s honor in the 10 years since her passing and to look ahead to where we’re going as an organization.

We’ve always been an organization focused on meeting people where they are and that’s never been truer than over the last five months. Our team has been hard at work every day to rethink how we come together and evolve our virtual offerings to deliver on our mission and continue to lead the relationship health revolution.

Each pivot has taken an all hands-on-deck approach, but we couldn’t be prouder of what our community has accomplished. Here are a few of the ways we’ve changed course to continue reaching people:

• Kicked off the Yards for Yeardley virtual MOVEment in April where over 600,000,000 yards were pledged in the name of healthy love
• Hosted the 2020 Summit in which more than 100 student leaders from across the country gathered for a four-day virtual bootcamp in June to learn how to bring healthy relationships to their communities
• Created At Home with One Love, an ongoing virtual learning series designed for students and educators to connect, nurture relationships with one another, and learn about the signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships in a time of social distancing

With the rise of domestic violence globally, it’s clear that our work has never been more important and we hope you’ll join us as we continue to help the next generation lead happier, healthier, and safer lives.
