The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is a unique leadership opportunity for young people who want to shape the future of One Love programming. This youth-driven initiative allows members to provide input on One Love’s program design and outreach strategies, while collaborating with adult stakeholders and advocating for the importance of healthy relationships. It’s your chance to help guide One Love on a national level!
What Do YAB Members Do?
- Mobilize Your Community: YAB members lead efforts to educate their peers and local communities on healthy relationships by organizing events, workshops, and campaigns.
- Join Forces with Youth Leaders from Around the Country: Connect with youth leaders from across the country during bi-monthly meetings, share ideas, and tackle challenges together.
- Represent One Love in Your Local Community: Whether you’re hosting a table at events, collaborating with our staff or donors, or taking over our social media, you’ll be representing our mission in fun and meaningful ways.
- Share Your Voice: As a YAB member, you’ll meet with One Love staff, provide valuable feedback, and offer recommendations on program improvements. Work alongside One Love’s staff and partners to make sure youth voices are represented in program decisions.
Program Requirements
- Availability: YAB members must be available for bi-monthly virtual meetings, with opportunities to host and participate in additional projects and initiatives throughout the year. YAB members receive a nominal stipend throughout the year.
