Couplets

Our Couplets define the difference between a good relationship and an unhealthy one. If you see three or more of these warning signs in your relationship, it’s a problem. Don’t be ashamed to tell someone when #thatsnotlove

It’s good to like someone and be liked back. It’s not good when the person you like is so into you, he or she can’t let go.

INTENSITY

Trust your gut. If you feel like your partner is overstepping boundaries, showing up in unexpected places, or simply coming on too strong, you’re probably right.

OBSESSION

Spending a lot of time together is fun. Not being able to spend time with anyone else is manipulative.

ISOLATION

Private items are private. A partner that doesn’t respect that doesn’t respect you.

DISRESPECT

If your partner makes you feel like their bad behavior is your fault, it’s not okay.

GUILT

No partner has the right to tell you what to wear, who to hang out with or how to live your life.

CONTROL

Everybody gets angry sometimes but overreacting to small issues, losing control, having violent outbursts, or making you feel afraid are signs of a problem.

ANGER

Sure, this seems like a no-brainer but put-downs are more than just insults. Manipulators say things to make you feel bad without calling you a name.
