It’s difficult to pinpoint a single factor that makes you and your S.O. right for each other, however, the Myers-Briggs personality test may shed light on your relationship strengths.

The Myers-Briggs personality test was created by mother-daughter duo Katharine Cook Briggs, and Isabel Briggs-Myers. They wanted to make Carl Jung’s theories about personalities more accessible to the general public so they created a questionnaire that breaks down a person’s personality into a combination of four distinct traits. The first trait is determined by whether or not you are predominantly (I) introverted or (E) extroverted. The rest of your personality type is based on whether you’re driven more by (N) intuition or (S) sensing, (F) feeling or (T) thinking, and (J) judgment or (P) perception.

While the days of passively dismissing someone based on their zodiac sign isn’t over, the Myers-Briggs personality test may add some interesting insight and technicolor to the ever popular personality test fad. Because who cares if your S.O.’s a Gemini when you’re a Cancer if you’re both ESTP, right?!

If you haven’t figured out your relationship superpower, or that things you do exceptionally well yet, that’s okay! You can take the Myers-Briggs personality test to find out what your personality type is and how you relate to other people.
